Our Mission

The Dalhousie Women in Engineering Society (Dal WiE) is an open society, welcoming students who share common goals and interests relating to the advancement of equality for female students within the engineering industry in both academia and professional practice.

Dalhousie WiE aims to facilitate the success of female-identifying students by offering a variety of services such as hands-on skills workshops, career development workshops, volunteer opportunities and sponsorship to WiE conferences. Dalhousie WiE helps society members by establishing a peer-support network on campus, creating a sense of belonging and community between members.

Through community engagement events, such as Go Eng Girl, Dalhousie WiE aims to promote engineering as a field of study and career to local youth.
